Nutrition Services

Nutrition Services

Pullman Public Schools serves nutritious breakfasts and hot lunches, with milk, available to all students.

USDA is extending the Summer Food Service Program through the end of June 2021.

This allows schools to provide meals for all kids ages 1 to 18, free of charge! Pullman Public Schools is dedicated to supporting academic success by providing nutritious breakfasts and lunches through the end of the 2020-2021 school year.

Meal Service Changes

When students return to in-person learning, meal service will change as follows:

Busses will no longer be able to deliver daily meals on the bus routes. Meal options will vary based on how students attend school (hybrid, distance, or not enrolled). Please see the options for your child below.

For Students Attending School Full-Time (Elementary)

  • Kids attending school in-person will be offered free breakfast and lunch the days they are physically in school.
  • Students will need to let teachers know they would like lunch when attendance is taken for the day.

For Students Attending School on a Hybrid Schedule (LMS)

  • Kids attending school in-person will be offered free breakfast and lunch the days they are physically in school. Students will need to let teachers know they would like lunch when attendance is taken for the day.
  • We are offering take-home meals for these students for the days they are attending school online (breakfast and lunch in one bag). The take-home meals can be picked up at LMS or PHS on the days when students are not physically in school.

Free and reduced price meals are provided for children whose family size and monthly gross income meet federal guidelines. Applications are available below and at any Pullman Public School. Parents may enroll their children at any time during the school year. If the student qualifies for reduced or free lunches, he/she automatically qualifies in the same category for breakfasts. The names of students participating in the free/reduced program are kept confidential. Applications should be returned directly to the school office.

The Food Service program is self-supporting through student participation and federal supporting terms of commodities and reimbursement. Program benefits and services are available to all students without regard to race, color, sex, disability, age, or national origin.
